Craft Room Organization
Hello everyone! I have been working on some re-organization for my craft room lately and thought I would share what I have done. I did a post on this a few years but have changed a few things up since then. I am very blessed to have a room solely devoted to a craft room however, it is a little small so I am always trying to find better ways to make everything fit and work to my benefit. I often change things around a little which my husband never understands. I might have a small amount of OCD!
Ok, you might want to grab a beverage and relax because this is going to be a lengthy post.
Let’s start with my main wall. This area stores most of my storage cubes, wall units, and peg board. All of the white storage cubes, wall units and shelves were all purchased at Michaels.
I made this visual peg board a few years ago and I really love it. I store most of my embellishments on this board. I am very visual and like for my embelishments to be seen, so I can easily see what my options are when I am creating my projects.
This shelf hold a lot of my paper collections that are not Close to my Heart and are sorted my themes.
On top of my shelf I store my newly purchased Minc products which I am very eager to play with a little more.
This shelf holds all of my papercrafting magazine and how-to books. Below are my Cricut collection stamp sets and Cricut cartridges.
I have 4 of these wall units which are wonderful to store my flowers and embelishments to easily see what I have to use on my projects. The glass storage jars are all from Hobby Lobby.
This media unit stores my printers and Cricut Machine. I purchases these shelves several years ago, I think from Staples.
This is my area were I create my projects.
I keep my Spetrum Nior Markers in this nice little storage unit that I bought on Amazon. I store all of my CTMH ribbons and shimmer trim in this Workspace Wonders Ribbon Organizer.
Now lets talk about my new Workspace Wonders from Close to my Heart. I have been adding different pieces of this workspace for a few months now to complete my space. You can customize the Workspace Wonders to work for your needs. Since I have a large table to work off of I decided to create a large Workspace Wonders area so I can store a lot of the products I use the most.
This half of the area carries my ShinHan Markers, ink pads, tools , re-inkers and 2 paper trays. I store a couple of my stamp blocks in the tray also for easy access.
I do also carry the rest of my stamp blocks in the small organizer with the foam insert. You can find those here.
This side of the area stores more ink pads, more tools, 2 paper trays and on top I store my CTMH Mini Ink Pads, ribbon and Liquid Glass.
Here is another option for your ink pads. You can customize a swiveling organizer with a carousel base and top. You can find the Workspace Wonders units here.
Here is a smaller combination of our Workspace Wonders. What I love so much about this organization workspace is the fact that is is customizable for your personal needs. Whether you have a large or small craft area you can choose which pieces work for you. You can find the complete set of Workspace Wonders Storage System here.
This wall unit carries all of my embossing powders, buttons that I sorted into colors, ribbons and other mixed media products.
This small table carries my other Cricut Machine and Big Shot. Beside the table is a cart to store all of by embossing folders, die-cutting tools, and Cuttle Bug.
Above the small table I store mose of my ribbon on this Clip It Up Ribbon Organizer. I purchased these organizers several years ago online and I believe they are no longer available. It’s too bad, because they are wonderful for clipping up scraps of ribbon and lace.
I store all of my CTMH stamp sets in these Large Organizers. I really wish I could fit just one more shelving unit in this room so I can set these containers up on them to be able to have easier access, but I can’t so I have to make this work for now.
I recently re-organized and de-stashed my stamp sets to make room for new ones. I created these dividers into themes for each container so I can find what I need a little easier.
This storage units was purchased at Ikea. I use this cabinet for my CTMH patterned paper which I sort by themes.
On the back of my door, I use a clear shoe bag to store my punches. This gives me a clear view of what I can use for a project.
This is also a new addition for my craft room. I purchased this basket from Same Club and decided to use it for my mixed media paints and sprays.
Another big projects I recently accomplished was organizing my cardstock. I found this system on Pinterest and fell in love with it. I will share how I created this cardstock organization tomorrow.
And here’s another view of my main crafting wall.
You can find all of the organization items from Close to my Heart that I used in my craft room here.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my craft room! I love my craft room and feel very blessed to have it. My craft room is definitely my go to for relaxation and therapy. I don’t always have a lot of time to play in here but when I do, I love to play music or watch a good Netflix love story while I sit at my craft desk and set my mind free to create.
